The highlight to this month was a service trip to Borneo with twenty of my 10th grade students. Each year, all 9th-11th grade students spend a week somewhere in SE Asia doing a service trip. The trip consisted of helping paint a local community center in Sabah, Malaysia (on the island of Borneo) and doing some jungle trekking and camping. It was an amazing opportunity not only for the students, but for myself as well.

Ok, I think I remember a few more things in this month . . . For one of the weekends, we went to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia with a couple of our friends. It was an awesome weekend! We stayed at a really nice resort and went snorkeling, parasailing, and read by the pool. An amazing and relaxing weekend!
This cruise was an absolutely amazing vacation. I’d been on a cruise, but Brandon never had before. He told me after about 3 hours on the ship that he wanted most of our future vacations to be cruises. He still thinks the same way and is already planning another one for March. The four days was a great mix of sight-seeing and relaxing.
