School ended on Dec 21. Whew! Made it through another semester. School finished early on Friday, which gave me lots of time of prepare for the Christmas party we were hosting that night with our friends. I was baking all afternoon! Most of if was quite successful :) That evening was a fun night full of friends, laughter, secret santa exchange, and lots of yummy food.

So Tara arrived last Monday, and I wrote all about that day already. . .They got back from the beach on Wednesday night and had an awesome time there. It's definitely one of the huge benefits of living in Baguio. On Wednesday night, we went out to dinner at a place called "Oh My Gulay." It's a vegetarian place that has some pretty great food. It's up on the 4th floor of a building on Session Road, so it has a good view of the city. It's like all hand-crafted furniture and a very cool setting.
This past weekend, on Friday, we had the PTA Christmas party. One would think that this would be a serious party with the parents and teachers. That wasn't quite the case here. A lot of the moms here just live and breathe PTA, so they kinda went all out. It was held at one of the hotels in Baguio that is owned by two of the families at Brent. There was a great buffet and lots of drinks. It was a great night of socializing and playing games with our students' parents, while not worrying about school. Just a fun night with other adults.
This was a pretty great long weekend. On Thursday night after Lessons and Carols rehearsal, we went out to eat with one of our Korean students to a Korean restaurant. Even though I hadn’t really enjoyed any of the Korean food I’d eaten in the past, I really enjoyed it that night. Although, it was kinda unappetizing to see dog on the menu :S
