We spent the day out on Gull, which was awesome. Being on the lake makes me really miss MN. But then I think about the long winter that they endured to get this and then I don't miss it quite so much. Regardless, it was a fun day with family on the lake :)

Today we went up to Kabekona to visit Grandma Jacobsen. Tom, Kara, and Zach were there as well as Anika with a friend. It was a great day hanging out on the lake with family :) I got to MN today! Steph picked me up at the airport and we met up with all of these loves for dinner. It was so great to see so many friends immediately upon arriving in Minneapolis. It makes me miss MN a lot. I spent a lot of the day watching Leighton while Erica and Tony packed. So I got my baby fix :) In the evening, we went to John's Pass and had a drink on the water (where the picture was taken). It was so nice. It's what I love about Florida. I go home tomorrow, which I'm really excited about. I can't wait to see all my MN family and friends! Erica and Tony spent the day packing, so I spent the afternoon with Marissa. We went to a nice restaurant on the beach and then spent the afternoon walking around Clearwater and Dunedin. We went to a pottery place and painted a couple things, which was really fun. We were also saying that this was the fifth location that we've seen each other at in the last year. First Minnesota, then New Zealand over Christmas, then Philippines for attempting to swim with the whale sharks, then Hong Kong twice, and now Florida. Now I'm not sure the next time we'll see each other. Tomorrow I'll spend the day with Erica, Tony and Leighton :) I know it's been a week, but we haven't had internet at all when we were on the ship. This picture is from my favorite day on the cruise. We went on a sailboat in St. Thomas and went snorkeling and swam with sea turtles!! Brandon got some really good video on the GoPro, so I'll upload that on the actual blog. It was such a cool day. Our other stops on the ship were Nassau and St. Martin. Both were really nice, but we didn't do any shore excursions there. The ship was also amazing. Biggest in the world. There was so much to do! Awesome shows every night. Great food and just lots of activities. Such a great vacation :) Now I'm on my way to visit Erica and her new baby. So excited! Today we flew from Sioux Falls to Fort Lauderdale. As soon as we got to FL, we headed to the Everglades and went on an airboat tour. It was a lot better than I was expected. Our guide was seriously able to call the gators over to our boat. They were no where to be seen and then he called them (by name, of course. Haha.) and then they came swimming to us. And this is how close we got. It was ridiculous. But so cool. I know it's not Christmas, but this is a picture from today. Santa was in the Sioux Falls parade. Other than that, the parade was pretty dull. But it was a gorgeous day outside, so it was still nice. After, we spent some time in Falls Park before coming back to Luverne. The rest of the day we just hung out around the house and went to Pizza Ranch (one of Brandon's favorites, but not mine) for dinner. As always, I ate too much. Tomorrow we have to get up insanely early to head to Florida for our cruise :) so we decided not to go to fireworks tonight since the closest are in Sioux Falls. Like our other cruise, I'm not sure how much I'll have internet, so my posts might be sporadic for the next week. And I will update the main blog with June, once I'm back at my parents' in a couple weeks and have a computer. We slept in until 11:45am this morning! Guess we really needed some sleep! It was our 4th anniversary today :) We didn't really do anything special. Just kinda hung out. Nichols took us out to a nice dinner, so that was really nice. We went for a nice bike ride on the trail around Luverne during the day, which was really nice. It made us really miss MN. We took some video with the GoPro and Brandon edited it into a short video, which was really neat. I can try and put it on here. He literally took about 10 minutes to edit it, so it's nothing special, but it's still pretty cool. We went to the drive-in tonight and saw the new Transformers. The drive-in was fun, but the movie was awful. So much worse than the other two. I finally got to go to this amazing place after almost a year without it! Along with Target, we also went to Buffalo Wild Wings, which is our favorite chain in the US. So good! But I think the waiter thought we were crazy with how little we ordered. I still just can't get over how huge portions are here. It's ridiculous. Overall it was an awesome day of shopping and eating. I hope I don't gain too much weight this summer.... |
